Spaces | Campus Recreation ARC & CRCE Floor Replacements

Reifsteck Wakefield Fanning was retained by the University of Illinois to replace the flooring in two gyms at the Activities and Recreation Center (ARC) and a multipurpose court at the Campus Recreation Center East (CRCE). RRCo consulted with manufacturers to find the best options for the spaces.

The subfloor for the basketball courts at ARC is composed of 100% recycled material. The court at CRCE can be used for a wide variety of functions ranging from soccer and volleyball to rollerblading. 

All of the flooring in both spaces were replaced over the summer break as to not impede students' use of the spaces. RWF worked closely with moisture consultants to verify optimal conditions for installation and maintenance.
