Spaces | Student Apartments

Reifsteck Wakefield Fanning was retained by the University of Illinois for a complete interior and exterior renovation of student apartment buildings. The project scope included work in over 80 units in 11 buildings. Three distinct groupings of buildings are being treated differently in their exterior appearances to help define the separate courts. 

Work included all interior finishes, doors, cabinets, fixtures and appliances; exterior siding, windows, doors, roofing and stairs. New mechanical systems and lighting were provided. Various units are renovated to meet accessibility codes for living and visibility. 

Site improvements solve on-going water problems that has allowed bottoms of walls to deteriorate over time.
